Takahiro Omori Wins On Wheeler
In the wake of the earthquakes back home in Japan Takahiro Omori wins in grand style on Wheeler Lake in Alabama. Tak was in 72nd place after day 1 when the bass he was hoping for had not shown up for him on the Decatur flats. Day 2 it happened and it happened in a hurry. Takhiro had a limit early and knew that he had a chance because the bass were coming to him and leaving the shallow areas most of the field were fishing.

Any brave souls out there braving the cold weather to catch some slabs. Please let us know how you are doing and where you fish. I live in Indiana and have finally learned how to catch some decent crappie. Being from Tennessee and fishing Kentucky Lake and other great crappie lakes in the south I was a little spoiled when I came to Indiana. My favorite way to catch crappie here is trolling. I don't mean spider rigging with the trolling motor but trolling with kicker engine in wide open water and 1.5 to 2.2 mph.
Just went a week ago November 15 and caught a few crappie on Cagles Mills. The fish were on a drop off a sharp point. The crappie were in 5 to 8 foot of water. Water temp was 51 air temp 58. Nice day caught 12 good crappie. Yellow was the color they preferred which I have found is usually the case at that lake.
