Knowing When to adjust Your Bass Pattern

You get a few bites early.

Everything seems to line up.

It feels like you figured it out.

So you stay with it.

Same area. Same bait. Same approach.

And then it all just stops like someone flipped a switch.

That’s where most people get stuck.

Because it feels like the bite died.

But most of the time, it didn’t.

You just kept doing the same thing while everything else changed.

Early success can lock you in to one thing.

You stop questioning it.
Stop watching for changes.
Stop adjusting.

You’re fishing what worked…
but that’s not what’s happening now.

And sometimes the shift is small:

The sky goes from cloudy to sunny
The water temperature warms or falls
The wind shifts… or dies completely

Sometimes it’s just a feeding window has closed.

But it’s enough.

The guys who stay on fish are the ones who catch that change early.

They don’t assume it’s the same just because it started that way.

They’re watching the conditions.
They’re paying attention to what’s changing.
And they’re adjusting with it.

Not big changes.

Small ones. On purpose.

Sometimes you’ll adjust too early.
Sometimes you’ll stay too long.

That’s part of it.

But the faster you recognize when something’s changing, the less time you lose trying to force what used to work.

Stay with it. Just don’t stay the same.
